I don't notice any real difference in flatness between my Blackbird and Traveler. The only thing I miss is the footbox, not for comfort but for keeping my feet in the hammock. My feet sometimes fall out of the hammock with the Traveler.

I agree with with ya on the foot box. It really allows you to scooch down into the hammock securing your feet and not haveing your left shoulder hang over the edge. But I do love the overall free feeling from a no net hammock.

Just back from a 3 day trip with the traveller. I found that less slack in the ridge line keeps the sides more vertical, and contains me and my sleeping gear better. The traveller fabric is so slippery that setting the ridge line closer to horizontal reduces sliding towards the ends.

wbbb vs. traveler: every time i go out, i question which one to bring.
i love the footbox for gear / feet control.
but love the traveler for the pure, open feel.

Same here although I specifically bought my traveler for use as a cold weather hammock. If there are any bugs out at all I'll be bringing my Blackbird.

Same here, I specifically bought the travler with cold weather in mind as well as just lounging around in the back yard on a hot day. I was thinking about purchasing a net but dident because figured if their was any chance of bugs I would bring the WBBB bc I still find it to be more comfortable and convient with the shelf and foot box. It will never be an easy choice which one to bring but mostly for 3 season ill be useing the WBBB and the Travler for winter.

Triptease= I own both ENO DN andTraveler and even SN. The Traveler has a flatter lay when you are diagonal. The ENO is bathtub-like (as someone noted and you know too), with fabric flapping in face and sort of wants to push one out of diagonal. The Traveler, for reasons I can't explain, doesn't do this. I love the ridgeline, and the fabric is much softer than the ENO. The double is outstanding for just popping a foam pad in there on chilly summer evenings. And the cinch buckle system with it is much better than Slap Straps or most all suspensions, so having that already on there is like a bonus!

Get one, Trip, and I'll refer all my new-to-hammocking friends to your upcoming For Sale post for the ENO DN. LOL

I own a 1.7 BlackBird Double and a ENO DOuble Nest. A Warbonnet Travler is next on my list of hammocks I want.

Since the NC coast is so buggy I use my BB for overnights and the ENO for lounging during the day if there are not any bugs out.

If I am traveling somewhere I take my hammocks in the hope I can find an excuse to use one. Found a place in mothers in laws back yard I can hang while wife is visiting, very shady.

While the ENO is a very nice hammock, I have invested as much if not more in upgrading the suspenion (lightweight straps, Amsteel, and Cinch buckles) than if I had just bought a Traveler.
