    Hammock on a family dayhike.

Thought you guys might enjoy this... Mrs. BB thought I was a little nuts wanting to take the hammock along, but she humored me.

Then we stopped for lunch, and it all came together...

Happy baby easily doubled the length of our hike. If we hadn't been able to let her squirm around a bit, we would have had to turn back a lot earlier.

We take one for the same reasons on most hikes and any long drives.

    Very very very cool !!

Was the wife worried she might flip outta the hammock? Not exactly a baby crib with nice side-walls.

That is great use of a hammock on a day trip. I wish I had thought of that... I could have done a lot more fishing on my day trips.

I always take a hammock day hiking. I don't have any kids but hammocks sure are nice for sitting and napping.

Nice report! I think I'd put a drop cloth in there too, just in case of spit-ups/ and diaper type accidents. Great pics!

We actually ended up using a windbreaker for a diaper mat. Easy to clean.
