Welcome dpitalo! It seems lately that hangers are coming out of the woodwork here in Florida! If you can call a Palm tree, woodwork
I'm in Palm Beach County and there is a gathering planned for January in Ocala Nat. Forest. Come out and enjoy fun and exchange hammock tricks & tips with your fellow Florida hangers. Of course, there will also be a welcome contingent of "tourists" at the hang; it wouldn't be Florida without them!

Duffy...Been here just over 3 years. I came from Mississippi via Marathon, FL.
I'll be blowing through Palm Beach area next week on my way to the Keys for Thanksgiving.
As far as the January hang goes...I'm thinking about it, but it'll depend on my work schedule. As an old roommate used to say, "I'm a definite maybe"
Welcome to the forum. I'm in Jupiter myself, and I am also going on the Florida Hang in January. You should definitely come check it out if you get a chance. Give all of us Florida hangers a chance to get to know one another. If you don't end up making it at least you can still keep up with everything going on here on HF. It is a great forum with a lot of interesting people and information.
