Mine isn't too hard to see in a small size, but there's more detail in the larger one. This tree is mine, raised her from a twig...

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver

Those are some enormous trees mountain man. Like hiking through a land of giants. Beautiful photo.

Someday I hope to be able to pose for a photo just like that. Not that you're really "posing," but... you know what I mean.

Thanks cfisch... those big ole trees dumped a lot of snow the next day.

Once in awhile I rotate this one in just to keep myself humble...

You do some nice work. 25 yrs ago i raised a couple of dozen. Then i left them with a friend for a week and poof, dead. Had connections to the Vancouver Bonsai society and families who had bonsai that had been raised for generations, very cool. Have been thinking about getting into it again, your inspiring me. Thankyou.

That would be the place. We had to repels on the hike. One was 90' with a shelf half way down (that was a cruel joke because it was full of water) and the arch.

Is it Morning Glory Arch????? It's been awhile since I've been down to Moab. Negro Bill Canyon was always a favorite hike. Great pics.

[QUOTE=Redoleary;355378]If this isn't exactly my avatar its close enough. It took a lot of trys to get it. It was pitch black out and I was "painting" the canoe, tree, grass etc with a flash light.

That is a great affect. How long was the shutter open?
