I like camping outdoors. Having a hammock is a nice option among many I choose.
I like to tinker with my hammock, if/when I have spare time.
I find excuses to go outdoors, just so I can use my hammock and try new techniques from HF.
Are you kidding? I permanently installed hammocks inside and I always have spare+ with me!

I LOVED the visual you created here -- so perfect! Your conversion sounds a bit like mine. I started getting back into backpacking (I was asked to be a Scoutmaster and I had to figure this thing out again) and this "thing" started developing into an invasive cancer that has no cure.
I keep trying to make one of those meetings, but so far I haven't been very successful

If you ask me I´m not a hammock-a-holic - but considering the fact that i sleep full time in a hammock and if i go somewhere(to sleep or stay) i always brings a hammock, just to ensure a good nights sleep. Well i guess i´m in pretty deep.

PS: My wife has the choice of living with a raving mad lunatic of an insomniac or a healthy, happy, peaceful and well adjusted hanger - what do you guys think she prefer

To much time on your hands? Waste some time here
I can say I was at "I find excuses to go outdoors, just so I can use my hammock and try new techniques from HF." However, I've decided to take a step back from focusing just on hammocks and focus more on ultralight backpacking and utilizing a variety of camping options to meet my goal. I'd say hammocking is more of an option for me now, but Hammock Forums and the people I have met from it are the addicting part.

I had to place my vote for the #3 option. I mean after going to Lowe's last night, on a date with Mandydawn (HF), and getting $120 worth of materials for a fire pit and hammock stand materials for our third yard hanging spot then dropping another $20 at hobbie lobby for alky stove supplies...........wait a minute where is that spare hammock at!!!!!!!!!!

I chose the first option.
I've got my WBBB, Crowsnest, Burrow, and a good silnylon tarp. I don't have much use for HF anymore as I think this is the best setup for me.
It's all of you guys and gals that keep me coming back though!
The rub is that I am on disability until retirement (soon I hope) and so there is a bunch of spare time right now. Polls need to have answers qualified at times.
How bad do I have it? Well, I got a KAQ UQ last night and it is raining today. I'm plotting how to set up my entire rig in the rain and wind and sleep in it tonight as well. Is that outside the "norm"?
