I got to 29 degrees last night!

With my SUMMER set up!! OK, it was my 3 season, but as I like to hike in Mt's with weird weather, I carry it always.

    WBBB double 1.0
Insulation: BBO on top of the WBBB, Molly Mac 1X under everything, Ray Way quilt with alpine upgrade as a 3/4 Under quilt, No sniveler (JRB) as a top quilt. I had my CCF back pad in place "in case" but I really don't think it was needed at all, I'll likely find out tonight.

I was wearing a pair of shorts (equivalent to my Kilt) Wool Socks, Whiteblaze (poly) Tee, Patagonia Poly long sleeve Tee & Fleece vest, acrylic knit cap (in warmer weather it's my pillow)

A few times I got very slightly chilled because I had thrown off my No sniv, meaning I had gotten hot sometime (Hours?) before. The wind was out of the WSW at about 0 - 10 mph. It hit 29 around 3:00 AM.

I am so tickled with this!!! Wasn't even wearing all of my clothing & didn't need the hot pack! So I think I can get several degrees cooler, which is great as in July of 08 I got down to 30 & "Froze" & I had ALL of my clothing on. [nylon vest, 3/4 sleeve dress shirt, 2nd WB tee, 2nd pair of socks, Gortex rain coat]

    Life is GOOD!

So, basically the setup in our video? Nice! When I walked to work this am in the frost, I was thinking it would have been a nice night to "hang out."

It's always cool to be warm when it's so cool.

My low was 20-25F with two Hudson Rivers and a poncho. Woke to ice - on the lake, and flakes of it on the shell of the underquilt. My buddy left his water out and it turned to slush. (My hydration bladder, filter, and electronics were all in the footbox.)

Nice temp record. Sonic and I are going to camp in his backyard at 4000 feet, hopefully we'll get some snow!

At the Texas Fall Hang the temperature dropped to about 30-34 saturday night. I think everyone mostly stayed warm. I know I did. I was using an OS Yeti and a regular sleeping bag (thanks Tarp!), stayed nice and toasty.

    Exactly!

    Same kilt too

Last night it got as cold according to my wife (depending on which weather channel she watched), no pad this time & again I got too warm a few times.

I'm hoping for colder weather at home soon so I know under safe conditions (ie: I can go inside or add more insulation easily if its too cold) before hitting the trail what my minimum limit is. 25 - 20 would be SWEET!

EDIT: I forgot to add, what is the lowest others have gotten with their "Usual" backpacking gear? Lori already chimed in, & I may be jealous Thanks for adding Lori!

As we already have, list what you have as insulation & clothing if possible! Preferably NOT your "winter set up" but what you carry almost regardless of expected weather. I leave the RayWay at home if it won't get below 60 anytime during my trip cause the 1X is good to about 55 or cooler. But I often carry it anyway when on the AT because you never know in the mountains!

At the fall Mid TN hang recently I was able to make it to 27.4*F, according to weatherbug.com on the Galaxy S phone.

My setup for this trip was:
    - WBBB 1.7 DL
    - DIY 3/4 KAQ UQ (wonderfully built from a AHE DIY Kit by Mandydawn)
    - KAQ New River TQ
    - BBO cover form AHE
    - Wallyworld Blue CCF pads for my feet and backside
    - OES MacCat DLX in SpinnUL pitched low w/ doors open
    - Base layer (wicking sox, lite poly blend top/bottom)
    - Hiking sox, nylon blend hiking pants, long sleeve cotton T, fleece vest and beanie.

I was actually too warm with all of this, at times I would have to vent to keep from sweating........next weekend when temps get back into the 30's or lower at night we will do some more testing.

I did a 28d a few weeks ago with the scouts. DIY dbl layer HH clone, BA Yampa (40d), Exped 7 short, short section of ccf for feet area, fleece liner, fleece pullover & hat, HOT water bottle. I pitched my HH Hex tarp sideways, really low.
It's really hard to fine tune a kit when temps bounce all over the place like they do here.
