    Bigger Hammocks

    Hey guys,
I jumped in and purchased an ENO hammock a couple of months ago. Today, I decided that it was too small for me. I am a big guy, 6'4ish and about 250 for now, I am slowly killing my inner fat man. However, for now I need a larger hammock to accommodate a quilt and just be more comfortable. Do you have any suggestions for what I should be looking at in purchasing a more spacious replacement?

    I am happy with a Clark NX-250

Not as tall as you, but heavier. The 250 has ample shoulder room, and I believe Clark rates it for your height. The spreader hoops give it an open, almost cavernous feeling.

Is your Eno a single or double? Maybe a double would work better.

I would definitely go for a double. I think you can also find triples and larger out there.

Yep, a Eno Double or a TrekLight Double would be a good way to get a wider hammock without dropping the big bucks to have one custom made. The TrekLight is 6 and a half feet wide and 10 feet long. If you are familiar with Dave Canterbury (did that tv show and use to be big on youtube) it is what he used before he went and got all famous. Now he uses the TrekLight Single to save on weight.

You could always make your own, just a gathered end, and try it out at say 12 − 13ft. Then just cut off a few inches until it is just right. Undoing and regathering one of the ends is only a 10 or 15 minute process at most. Once you know the length you want you can invest in a professionally made one of that length if you wish. For just testing length, you wouldn't even need to hem the edges if you didn't want to.

I really, really love my WBBB. I'm exactly the same height and weight, and the 1.9 double layer is really sturdy and the lie is flat. Best of all, my legs can stay relaxed as I stretch out, no pressure on my heels due to the foot box area.

I ordered this hammock hoping it would solve a few problems for me and it did so better than I hoped. It's heavy but rated high enough to allow my spouse or kids to lie in there with me. It's a GREAT hammock.

I'm 6'4", 335#, and I love my ENO doublenest, feels great, and I can wrap the sides around to close them over me. It is a very big hammock!

Thanks for the help you guys! I would love to get the WBBB, because I could get the integrated netting. I will take a look at the EnNO double too. Was thinking about selling my single, but will probably keep it for my son.
