Hi Klei43,
Greetings from Mannheim (where the car was invented)!
Great to see more Germans coming up here.
You might want to try whoopie-slings for a better suspension. I started with paracord as well and it got me fall on my buttocks -- so I searched hammockforums and got to hang my first time with whoopie-slings, do not want to miss them ever again!
A good place to get "12-fach geflochtenes Dyneema" is bootskram.com -- sometimes there are also good deals at e**y.de -- you just want to make sure you're starting with something at least 3mm thick.
@moski: Cool, that sounds very nice. Maybe I can attend in 2011
@trinni: Wow, great, somebody else from Germany! Are there more germans on the forum? Maybe we can find enough guys for a hangout in germany (this area sounds interesting: http://www.trekking-pfalz.de/de/)
Welcome. I spent a couple years in hessen. Hop a train next door to one of your neighbors and get to hiking Germany isn't too big for a Weekender outside GE
By the way... woopie slings are the way to go!!
