Hi to all from Berlin in Germany!

    Hi to all!
After watching many of the realy cool youtube videos on Hammock-Camping I deciced to try it myself.
    Aaaaand........................................... ................IT'S REALLY GREAT
Although it's not so easy in Germany due to law restrictions (almost no place to sleep in the woods, no firemaking/cooking allowed in the woods (not even in deepest winter with tons of snow), ...)
But still it's a whole lot of fun and experiencing nature from a Hammock underneath a tarp is much more fun to me than laying in a tent (but which I still enjoy with my children, they like the "saftey" of tent walls).
I'm looking forward to find a lot of usefull information on the forum and maybe exchange some tips & tricks with some of you.
And who knows, maybe I'll make it over into the US sometime to attend a forum trip...
I hope my english is not to bad and you all can understand gibberish

    Greets from rainy Berlin,
    Klei42

    Hi Klei42

Yes! another European hanger And your english is just fine(probably better than mine).
Regarding your issues with camping in the forrest, i got one word for you: Stealth camping - but be responsible and show the way for others to follow!
I´m not asking you to break the law, but everybody should have access to the the place we originate from - Anyway welcome to the forum.

    Klei42:
Welcome to HF from Bama............don't worry about the english, most of us here don't speak it that well either!!!!!!!!! Good luck on the hanging situation there in Germany and you may possibly consider a backyard hammock stand.
