I am thinking about making a DIY clone similar to a Claytor No-net. Lots of folks here talk about the good atributes and so I thought I would give it a whirl. I also have a couple suspension ideas I want to try with a Claytor type end channel hammock. I am interested to see first hand how the lay of this type compares to the gathered ends I am more familiar with.
The only problem is I have never seen or hung in a Claytor and I don't know enough to build a clone. I gather that the dimensions are 10' x 4'. Is the No-Net simply a 10' x 4' double layer rectangle w/ end channels? If so for those of you familiar w/ the Claytor hammocks would a wider version be a good modification, or is 4' the right width? That seems narrow & I have an aversion to cutting down the width on a nice wide 60" piece of ripstop.
Thoughts, suggestions?
