    Anyone used these???

Browsing the web & saw a couple interesting things:

    http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=91858

    http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/w...70_41034_41034

Anyone know anything about these, could they be useful or destroy a good tarp ?

I have used the ones in the first link on the big blue walmart tarps to cover my boat. They worked OK.

It would depend on the tarp. If you were using a relatively thick tarp material, they should be fine. I would be very hesitant to use them with a silnylon tarp, though.

I havent used them but I would say if it gets windy it will damage the tarp much the same way the gromets always rip out and tear the tarps.
