Thumbs down Should I send this back? (Stupid Noob Question Alert!)

I set my brand new HH hammock up last night and noticed some flaws. This is the first set up so these flaws aren't my doing [pictures are attached.] If you can't tell by the pictures, there are a few spots where the green hammock fabric is frayed under the black fabric along the seams. There is also a hole next to a seam on one of my snake skins.

With how much of a hassle it was to get this hammock in the first place, I'm really hesitant to send it back to get it fixed/replaced. Should I just try to repair the flaws myself, or just go with my original plan of ignoring them? haha.
I know they aren't a problem now but, I'm looking to use this hammock for a while and I know down the road the flaws will become a problem.

    Thanks!

It has been my experience that HH has great customer service and they will replace your stuff.

The fraying on the material simply looks like "flyers" from cutting the material during manufacture. Doesn't look like a big deal to me (judging from the photos). I don't like the looks of the snake skin though. I'd send them the photos and I'd bet they'd tell you the same, and probably replace the snake skin for you.

You paid to have quality Gear and to have it in good condition, you should definitely give them a call, errors happen and a good company will do the right thing but only if you voice your concern ( politely of course)
If anything they'll repair or replace it

I'm with Lonely Raven. Just judging by the photo, it seems like the issues on the hammock are just cosmetic. The skins, though, look a bit worse. On one hand, the snake skins don't take that much weight, but on the other hand, you did pay a lot for the gear and it is always nice to test out customer service sometimes. Customer service plays a big role for me in picking which products will become my go to ones.

Hope it works out either way.

If you're not happy with the quality of the workmanship, you should allow the company an opportunity to make it right.

Yep. Even some of the best gear will have these "flyers". However, someone attempted to mate with a canine when they made those skins.

When I received my HH, the package actually said to inspect it for flaws immediately and let them know if there are any issues. If there's a problem, they'll swap it out with no hassle.

Looking at the first two pictures, I would say you are just being too picky. But seeing the snake skins I think you should send it back. The other problems may not affect fit, form or function but you are starting out with a negative impression and if anything happens with your hammock, you will blame the manufacturer, even if it is in no way their fault.
