    The Catskills is a good place to hang. I often go hammocking around Peekamoose . It is probably the one of the most beautiful wilderness area in the Catskills.

    Dude would have "Loved" hanging in my back yard up till about a year & a half ago*; The county police helicopter used to fly over & slow over me hanging in the back yard, from about 60 to 50 then back up to cruse. I often suspected they were using me to calibrate the infrared thingy.

    Yea, come to think of it, the Hamilton County Helos are black, & I never actually saw them fly over, OMG HE IS RIGHT!

    I'm sure you will find a hanging partner who is a little more stable. Sorry about your bad experience.

    *Fewer patrol flights due to budget cuts.
    When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
    PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.

    Good for you John. Remenber Romero Moench's rules for the conspiracy theorist just in case though. Huh? Oh yeah the rules (dern microwaves);

    1-Your enemy is never as organized as you think he is.

    2-You are not as important as you think you are.

    If one takes these to heart one can conspiracy theory away while retaining sanity...well closer to it anyway. Plus save a bunch on aluminum hats.

    You never know..... My river buddy & I float the Southfork of the Snake every year over Memorial Day weekend. Blue ribbon fly fishing, great camping and scenery. Well, a few years back, we're sitting in camp when I hear this loud noise. My friend casually says..... oh it's just a Blackhawk helicopter, **** Cheney (then VP) must be on the river fishing. He has a home in Jackson Hole and loves to fly fish the Southfork. Sure enough, here comes this Blackhawk around the corner. It hovers over our camp for awhile. My friend says..... we're probably on their infrared. I guess we looked pretty tame with our rafts, fishing gear, & two dogs. It started pouring rain shortly thereafter, and we saw a jet boat pass by that was buttoned up tight against the weather. We guessed Cheney was in there all snug & warm. So...... sometimes Big Brother really is watching you.
