Wow! What a great trip. I was out last night and was very cold at 23*F - I had trained in the backyard but something with my UQ just wasn't working last night.

For your stove, put something under it. Best is a small piece of board with CCF on top. Something lighter would be CCF with Reflectix or heavy aluminum foil over it. You want to spread the weight out (like a snowshoe) and keep the warmth away from the snow (and cold away from the stove!). Even a freezer bag cozy would work.

    Thanks for sharing with us!

BTW Bomber; If you take a 12"x 12" piece of aluminum foil and fold it so you end up with about 4"x4" and put it under your stove on packed snow it will be enough to stop the sliding provided your not using a caldera cone . Weighs next to nothing and flexible.

    Nice trip report Bo!

You do have more snow in Denmark then we have up here in Lapland!

But the snow is probably on it´s way, the eastcoast have plenty of snow now.

I´m planning on a hanging night next weekend and I hope for some real cold weather so I can test some wintergear. We only had minus 17 this morning, hoping for minus 20-25 for the weekend.......

    Great report and photos, Bomber!

And thanks for sending me updates while you were on the trip.

I'll probably be joining you on the next one.
Hopefully Danish customs will be done fooling around with my Winter Incubator and Winter Burrow soon... I bet the hold up is caused by a customs agent trying it out in the snow storm

    Looks like a nice trip.
I too am jealous of the snow though

I second the warning "Be careful it's addictive" posted above by Bomber. My first cold weather trip was intended to be so I could say "I camped in the winter once! " Was supposed to be my one & only trip in winter. Yea,,,, that was 5 years ago, & now I can't wait for winter & SNOW!

    Nice report and great picks!

All you snow hangers are making this southern boy jealous. I get about a foot of snow cumulatively every decade here.
