i have always found the HH to be very comfortable...but then again i started out in a old military type as well..i lay with my head/body on the left with my feet on the right..or i lay on my side with my legs curled up..either way i sleep better in my hammock than i do at home..as to rope i have had no problems with mine..but like mountain climbers i feel rope has a limited life span..i give my ropes a real close look every few trips out..if i start to see frey or signs of doubt...i change and retire that rope to other duties...lets me sleep better at night since i like to hang mine up higher than most of you..
