    Question on snake skins

Ok.....as a newbie getting his gear together I'm wondering where I can buy snake skins and what would be the best one for my new Superfly?

I already searched the forum on the topic but there must be a gazzillion posts on the topic and I don't have five days to go over them all! lol

    I appreciate your help! : )

They aren't that hard to make in all honesty if you have access to a thread injector (sewing machine).

    As for buying them:

I know hennessy has them for their hammocks

I think someone else makes/sells them too but I'm blanking on who.

Hennessey has a patent on them so most shops won't make them. There are a few folks around here who might turn one out for you but it's always going to be a one on one deal and not an online service.

Ahh, fair enough, that may be why I couldn't find it with a quick look of the "main" vendors. Either removed or could have been one of the non-US vendors didn't check them.

DD Hammocks self a similar product, but instead of in two parts it's one full length. Not as tight on the hammock as the HH skins, either, so from what I've seen it makes my hammock a lot easier to pack into my bag once wrapped up compared to teh HH ones.

I love the snakeskins for my HH. One of the easiest ways to keep my hammock dry and tucked away when I want to hang out under the tarp and cook/ change clothes, etc.. I'm not familiar with your setup, but why wouldn't the snakeskins from HH work?

I made mine. Easiest thing I've made.
I've also used the hennessy skins and like them.
Don't think you can go wrong either way.
