Any Big Bears flying Black Birds?

I've read a few reviews but can't find any from anyone in the same weight class as me so I'm starting yet another thread. Is there anyone 6' 2" tall pushing close to 300 lbs. who is hanging comfortably in a 1.7 Double BlackBird? The weight is the key here. I know of many tall people flying them happily but they all seem like toothpicks compared to me.

Up until now, my 2008 model DD Traveler hammock has been the most comfortable but I'm now looking for something new and a little bit longer. I'm also a side sleeper.

I have the WBBB Dbl 1.7 that I got from a fellow HF member. I am 6' 1" and close to the 300 mark as well and have no problem sleeping in the BB. I have not tried side sleeping but just to let you know it can be done by people your size, no offense!!!!!!

Thanks BBG. A 6' 2" person who weighs 185 pounds hangs much different in a hammock compared to a similar height person who weighs 100 lbs. more. Your opinion helps me quite a bit.

There's a big bear around here that actually has a triple layer and IIRC he has been very comfy in it. Can't remember the members name though.

Just spent last weekend in my 1.7 dbl. I'm 6' 1" and 285. Did just fine, and I did some side sleeping in it.

    That would be Hogg_Tyed.

    I'm flying a double 1.7 BB at 5'10" and 260.

I'm 6' and nearly 300lbs and I find my WBBB very comfy. I can also sleep on my sides but I find that sleeping on my left side is better because I can still use the footbox that way.

Now that is good news, my BB is on the way and I've been wondering how it would work sleeping on my favorite left side.

I'm 6'5, 400, and I fly the clarks nx250. It works for me, can lay on side, back, whatever.

I am glad to see that there are lots of "portly" hangers here.

I have the triple layer. Two layers of 1.7 with a third layer of 1.1. I'm 5'10" and 400Lbs. After two years its still holding up very well.
