I got one and did a video ..........

    Shug,

The link did not work for me and I did find your review on youtube. THANKS! I like it. Did your "rain" test confirm that Spinn will not have moisture seep through? I'm sure if it confirms in sector 7 it will work for whatever sector I'm in!!??!

Personally I use sil, got one of the new superflies with pull-outs and I intend to mod my old mambajamba with a pole mod and may do a cut and grosgrain job to make the doors permanent (not sure on the door part yet).
Nood question: Does this mean that a sil tarp will let some water through but a spinn won't?

It's not really about letting water through as much as it is water seeping through when you make contact with the inside surface. Sil will allow water to pass-through if you press against the inside of the tarp. Spinn, being the glorious material that it is, does not. My understanding is that Cuben material possesses the same attribute.
    Trust nobody!

Ah, like the good old canvas tents used to do when you touched them.

I do still remember that lovely smell

Guess it's going to be a spinn for me.

Yes its exactly like that, although I've found if you try and shake it off in the morning it can go through as well. So put the hammock up first then shake.
