add a bugnet to an eno or trek light double

Hey I've searched and can't find anything on this, but has anyone added a bugnet to either of these hammocks. I have added an adjustable ridgeline to my trek light and now I want to add a bug net sewn to the hammock with a zipper running the full length of one side. Are there any instructions anywhere for something like this? Has anyone done this before and have some advice?

    Thanks.

or is this a bad idea and should I not fool with it and go with a standard full wrap around bugnet from WB or whatnot?

Seems like I have seen someone do it here before. Did you search the Eno Forum? I bought the material and made a WB clone bug net. I also make a bug sock for another buddy that uses an Eno style hammock.

You may have to remove the side material, but it could be done for sure.

Yeah there is a thread that I stated in the eno section talking about eno mods and we got on the topic of bug netting there.

    My Advice:
make a pattern, I used Tyvek, but anything you can pin to the hammock will work. I pinned, loaded, unloaded, re-pinned, adjusted until I got it just right. Trim it all up to match, make notes during the pattern fitting for later when you sew.

Use gross-grain to attach the no-seeum tot the hammock body. Roll the no-seeum around the edge of the hammock body, then roll the gross-grain over that: use lots of pins. I used bias tape but I don't think I really needed it. The gross-grain keeps the netting from stretching while sewing as the presser foot never touches the netting, only the gross-grain.

Zipper side is a little more complicated. I used zipper stiffener but you can use gross-grain to keep the bug net from stretching when you sew it to the zipper tab. Lots of pins.

Sewing the other side of the zipper to the hammock is pretty easy; I sewed it right to the hem.

I used a velcro closure at the ends, it was easier than trying to figure out how to bridge the gap created by the channeled ends. The first 8-10 inches on the zippered side are sewn as well so it is pretty easy to just make a velcro wrap to seal it off; of course you could use shock cord or sew a triangle shaped panel from the bottom as well. Lots of options, I just used velcro.

Use black no-seeum, you can see through it better. Lots of pins...
