    Banana + Blackbird = Blah (i.e. Eeeewww)

So what's the best way to clean dwr fabric? I had my food bag in with me to keep fresh fruit unfrozen this weekend and, of course, slept on it at some point. It mushed all the way through the sack and both layers of hammock. How should I clean it to get all the smell out but not hurt the fabric's water repellent properties?

Bath tub + warm(ish) water + gentle detergent = Clean hammock.

I wash my hammocks regularly like this, but I honestly don't know what it does to any DWR surface. I try not to let my hammocks get wet unless they are being washed.
    Trust nobody!

I think with DWR you're supposed to use powder detergent and if you notice the DWR isn't working as well, tossing it in the dryer briefly helps bring it back. I'm just going by what I've read after googling DWR care.
