    Reminds me of my mother's maid in Venezuela: Left her baby in a regular string hammock. No clothes (well, maybe a wee shirt) (it was warm) and a bucket underneath.

    No need for Pampers!!

    My daughter has been snoozing in a hammock since she was born, now she's 5. Not one that nice though. Just my stinky ol Eno. She has her own now.

    Based on the research showing that supine sleeping reduces incidence of SIDS, strapping an infant in a hammock like this could be a really good thing.
    With that natural curvature of the hammock bottom, it would be rather difficult for an infant to roll into the prone position.
