The Micro is pretty small, but it does cover my BB. Not by much, but plenty enough to work for someone with some tarp skills.

I'm not gonna lie, I wanted the OES Micro, but due to bad planning on MY part I needed the tarp in a time frame that I wasn't sure OES could manage (not bashing AT ALL, a cottage industry is what it is). No complaints about the HH (dear Lord it's small though, I have yet to ride out a major rainstorm in it and I'm a little scared), don't get me wrong... but if I had it to do over again I'd order the Micro with time to spare.
The Hennessey Asym is the smallest I own, but I don't use it much. I much prefer my JRB 8 x 9 clone. Covers the ends of the hammock well and only needs two stakes. 8 x 9 would get my vote, if we were voting.

I actually just called Noah Lamport today. Their number is 323-582-7684. Their silnylon is $3 a yard. The colors weren't to appealing to me, they had a couple blue colors, orange(might be kinda cool for hunting season) silver/grey, purple and a few more I forget. I'm thinking of attempting to to make a micro type tarp. Keep in mind Shugs is 11' x 6' and most fabric comes in 60" - 64" wide from my findings. If you wanted to make it wider you'd have to use two rows of fabric and waste a lot (could make stuff sacks. But the micro is only 60"(5') wide so you could make that.
Also here is the link to blackbishop's black cat tarp if you decide to go diy. http://www.teamgunnparker.com/blackc...k_Cat_Tarp.htm. If you decide to go diy may conside the cat cuts. Are they worth it? Maybe just addition tie out will take care of the tautness issue, it'll be more simple to make and more coverage.
Silnylon - $12 (through noah lamport)
Polyester thread - $5
Grosgain ribbon - $3 (if you want)
Nylon webbing for tie outs - $3
Reinforment fabric for tie outs ?
Tarp looks amazing Shug. Is that fabric one piece or is it seamed? If so where did you find it that wide?

Just a piece of silnylon 65" wide x 7.5' long, hung on the diagonal gives enough coverage if you're smart about campsite selection. Those happen to be the dimensions of the Roy Robinson Poncho/Tarptent, so it can double as a rain poncho and pack cover on the trail.
I am currently making a 118" by 65" hex tarp for my Blackbird. The minimum distance across the center of the catenery cuts on the sides is 56.5".
I scored the deep forest green 1.1 silnylon (actual 1.36 oz/sy after coating) from Quest Fabrics because it is 67" wide. I have no ridgeline; it's a single piece with 90* angle (45* each side) at the ends of the ridgeline. A total of 4 SY of fabric after the cat cuts weighing 5.5 ounces!
That sounds real nice Mad777. Do you have any pictures? Did you put grosgrain ribbon along the edges or just leave a hem? What did you use for tie out reinforcements, if any? Sorry for so many questions, haha.
