I like this one. It's a tiny bit larger and offers a lot more coverage than the piece of sil hung on the diagonal. What I like about it is the ease and speed of contruction. I cut it out, put in some reinforcement patches, and bind it. No seams, no seam sealing. Somewhere in the thread is a video showing the tarp.

This is the smallest I have used. It is a sierra designs tent footprint. I strung it over my eno double and fashioned a ugly bug net over the top.
I was really shocked when it came a downpour during the night. It was raining so hard that I could not hear my friends less than 10 feet away yelling during the storm. I had a few drops hit my feet and was ready to bail to the dining fly if the need arose. I stayed in the hammock all night and stayed dry.
I did learn that a sleeping bag liner was not enough, even in summer. No uq, no pad. I have also changed my suspension since then.
thanks,
cutter
The smallest I have is the Tree to Tree Trail Gear Light Hiker Diamond Tarp.

I use the Hennessy asym tarp with some frequency. So far so dry.

@kayakkarl. I have a picture of the Mountain Laurel Designs tarp in my gallery. It is enough.

Kayak karl, let me know how the zpacks cuben works for you. I've been very interested in getting one. Probably a rectangle so doors can be fashioned. How is the quality look? Does it seem as strong as silnylon or spinn tarps?
Although i haven't used it the diamond tarp from Brandon looks good at 7oz.
