    Wrist Warmers

Did a search, but didn't find anything. Anyone know where I can buy a set of wrist warmers like Shug wears? I believe that in his video he states that the type that he has aren't available anymore.

If folks are making their own, and they're not too difficult to make, I'd love to hear about that too.

    Thanks

Shug mentions that you can get some at www.wristies.com

Search for "wristies" or just go cut the toes off an old pair of socks, and cut the heel off to make a hole for your thumb.

Well, I just went out and looked at the wristies site and they seem to be based on the hole-in-the-sock idea. What I was hoping to find is something that covers the wrist and the back of the hand, but leaves the palm and fingers available.

Anyone know of anything like that?

I do believe the ones you are referring to are discontinued. I remember him saying that they were purchased at Campmor and they are no longer carried there.

I did receive a pair of the aforementioned Wristies as a gift not long ago and they work extremely well, however, the thumb hole is already blowing out after 3 weekends on the trail. For the 10 dollar price tag, pick up a couple pairs because I feel they will go quick with regular use.

I ordered a few pair onsale here last week. Two days later the type I ordered is no longer available. Lucky me I guess.
They are something like this, but without the Mitten cover. Just the finger cutouts. I ordered a few black pair.

I have some Marmot wrist gaiters from REI:

They don't have an open palm, but I love them otherwise....
