HH Scout and Supershelter questions

I am thinking about taking advantage of the HH Christmas special for my 10 year old son, who is an active Scout.
"Free Scout Zip and 2 snake skin with purchase of over $129.00"

Question.
Will either of the two super shelter kits #1 or #2 work with the Scout zip. If yes, which one of the two SS will work best. Can they be made to work, if modified slightly?

also, do you think that I am being overly cheap if I think that by spending $129.95 on the SS#1, that I can justify the receipt of the Scout and 2 snake skins for free. I mean, I am only spending 95 cents more than the add requires.

I own two Scouts. Received one when I bought an Explorer and the other when I ordered a SS (like you plan to do). You're not being cheap, just taking them up on their offer.

I don't think SS will work with the Scout. The SS comes in two sizes to be Expedition and Explorer compatible. It will be too larger for the Scout.

Just put your son on a foam pad. You don't want to spoil him with niceties like SSs and UQs.

The HH Scout is not asym and the HHSS have an asym shape to fit the EXPED/EXPLR. Not sure if you could mod it to work expecially in regards to the open cell foam mat.
