    Hennessy 4 season test tonight!

Ok you guys I got my Hennessy 4 Season system in the mail today to go with my HHED. It's 23* now at 5:30 p and the low predicted at a mild 19* so I think it will be the perfect first night with it.
I will be sleeping in a MilSpec Sleeping bag and a US Mil issue wool blanket tonight. I have two other bags to test at some point. One 40* and one 15* rated bag. Now I am a warm sleeper so I will be in a T shirt with waffle LJ's and sweets, a fleece beanie, and wool fingerless gloves with some additional items to test. The only problem I forsee is keeping my 125 lb German Shepard from trying to climb in with me. Guess I will take the door knocker (Neoprene handle polynylon composite night stick) with me.

Be sure to put a space blanket over the open cell foam pad. Since you're a warm sleeper you should be fine. Report back.

I put a reflectix pad in there. Will work like a space blanket?

Probably, if it covers the entire pad, but I think the S.blanket will work better by draping over the sides of the pad. Then again, you will probably gain some extra insulation from the ref. pad, similar to a ccf pad. Hopefully the stiffness of the ref. pad will not interfere with the shaped fit of the HH pad, which snugs up against you and ciurves around your shoulders. If it does interfere it might then be a net negative. Get a space blanket asap. About $2 or $3 at WM. Better yet, get an EMS Heat Sheet, only costs a small bit more and is much easier to work with.

    Billybob and Knotty,
You are right. Space blanket is going to be the way to go. The refectix was too heavy. Caused the HH foam pad not to fix snug causing cold spots. However over all it worked well for me. The temperature fell to 13 by about midnight then gradually rose to 28 at 6 this morning and now falling again. But I will leaving hanging on the old backyard frame to do some more testing for my Mt Rogers hang in Jan.
Thanks for the input guys. Off to work and the Army/Navy store to pick up a space blanky!!!

Yes, that is a good one, and I recommend it. Check the sizes so you don't get one bigger than you need.
But in a pinch or big hurry just use the cheap one from WM, they function the same though noisier and a bit harder to work with. Keeps you just as warm ( and for me:dry) though.

Great. Sounds like you had a successful cold weather hang. 13F is pretty darn cold.
