Which one is 15oz? Somebody posted about one that was close to 2 pounds. Not interested in that, but maybe for 15oz. Although my DIY synthetic should only weigh 10oz when I'm done.

In Lonely Raven's previous post he weighed the down throw at 524 grams (18.4 oz) in the stuff sack, stuff sack alone weighed 18 grams.

    50% off second one

I was waiting on a bench for my wife while at the mall reading Hammock Forum posts on my phone. I was two stores away from Eddie Bauer! Just bought the packable throw and was asked if I wanted a second one at 50% off the first. Paid $29.99 for the large. So buy two and save even more.

i personally passed on this after seeing it in person. i saw in at the store and it lofted to about 1/4 of an inch - i stood there shaking it for about 5 min...

basically it was like 2 pieces of nylon stuck together with nothing in between it. it would've been really cool if it hand any sort of loft, as the price is killer...

Well me & ClumseyBear checked out the local EB here and they had this cover y'all are talking about. We found that it lofted a bit over an 1" high after we'd shaken it out and walked around the store holding it. She bought 4 and I got 2. I'm planning on altering one to use as an UQ on the BB. Since it is sewn through and the material is not water resistant, I'm planning on adding a layer of DWR ripstop nylon to one side and channels down the sides to add shockcord to. I know it will add weight but it's for my husband and he can handle it. Besides if it works for him, he'll be able to leave the Exped 9 mat at home (during the spring/fall/summer not winter). I'm also finding that my UQ's that fit my Clark perfectly, flat out don't work for my BB. So I'll be tinkering with these covers to see if they will work. Even if they don't work out for UQ's, they are well made and the price was right!! I'll use them somewhere.

I have an old eddie bauer down throw that I'm currently using as my top quilt. I don't think its this one as its more 72" x 60" I believe, maybe even bigger, but it works great. Weighs 23.5oz on my baby scales, lofts 1.5". Its just got a fairly thick polyester shell which keeps the weight up, but perfect til I can get a proper top quilt. I've had it down to 30*F and worked great til I got up for a pee break then had trouble getting warmed back up. Its probably better down to 35ish or even a safer 40
