    Whip it good...

So I'm starting on my HH clone a la HC4C and I've got my seams all sewed up pretty and whatnot. I've been reading over his thread for the clone, I think I got the whole folding ends thing down, but I've run into a slight problem. What do I use to whip the ends? Spectra? Grosgrain? Paracord? Anything but cotton twine?

I gather the ends of a hammock with the fixed eye at the hammock-end of my whoopie slings. I pass the eye through the channel in the end of the hammock, pass rest of the whoopie sling through the eye, cinch and gather, and tie a clove hitch right below the gather.

MAC i dont think he has a channel at the ends to put the eye through.

Here is what i did cause i think you want to do the same thing i did.
    I first put a whipping knot(method #2):http://www.ropeworks.biz/reader/whipping.pdf
Then I used a Prussic knot on the hammock side of the whipping.

The Whipping knot acts as a stopper and the prussic itself is a stopper. With this setup after a while it will be VERY tight and will take way too much effort to get off. This is good!!!

For the whipping i use paracord and the prussic knot is the dead eye of an Amsteel whoopie sling
