Definitely not too late. I started in my late 50's and now I'm wondering why I slept on the hard ground all those decades!

Welcome to the forums and welcome to newfound comfort!

Theres no such thing as too old! I think its great when people of any age are open to new ways to do things----welcome to the forum!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone

I've been dreamin about wandering the backtrails and quiet places ever since National Geographic started hosting some articles from Peter Jenkins ......a young college lad who eventually wrote the book "Walk across America" and later... "The walk West". My wife bought me an HH a couple of years ago after she saw me droolin' over them in a sports shop. "Life" has kept me too busy to "get out there" but I plan on changing that. I'll be watching the Frozen butt hang with interest as I used to live a little south of there and experienced some extremes that the Mn North woods can dish out at times. This is a BIG forum with an untold bounty of info for me and I'm sure I will enjoy tons of it and hope to meet up with many of you somewhere down the trail.
