New pertex DIY Hammock

I thought I'd give this a try.

3.5m of olive green pertex 4. Hemmed on two longer sides and a channel on each of the two shorter ends.

6mm Dyneema is currently being used but I have some 5mm on its way.

Cord was thread through each end cord and cinched up nice and tight, looped around and a square knot tied up nice and tight.

A short length of the same cord was attached to the hammock with a larks foot below 1st bit of cord.

Will it hold?

it holds nicely, although the wall posts of the new house are a little low, therefore the hammock is suspended much lower than I would normally have it.

It is super light weight. Just going out to take it down and weigh it,

Weight is without caribiners. Stuff sack is an XS Exped dry bag.

Looking forward to seeing the weight of the hammock. I know pretty much nothing about pertex, but I was looking at their fabrics here. Do you know which fabric you used? Does it feel strong enough?

Much straighter lines than the hammock that I made.

Oops. You posted the weight while I was posting. Very light. How does it compare to a single layer 1.1 ounce ripstop in terms of stretch?

Its super comfy. Fair bit of stretch I reckon but not more so than my TTTM double.

I have some black pertex lined up for a double layer hammock.

I'd like to see that in a double layer. That's one sweet hammock with the use of Pertex.

Looking at the link to Pertex fabrics, I don't see "Pertex 4", though I've heard others mention it. Is it one of the types of "Classic" Pertex mentioned there? What's the weight in grams/square meter or ounces/square yard?

I have some Pertex Microlight I've been saving for quilts and maybe a windshirt. It's very soft. I think the weight is about 1.5 oz/sq. yd., but I haven't measured it. If I used it for a hammock, I think it would need to be double layer.
