    Also happens to coincide with the winter solstice, and the Ursid meteor storm (Look toward Ursa Minor during the Eclipse.) Great time to take up celebrating Yule.

    I was planning on watching the eclipse and possibly timelapsing it, but California is in a perpetual state (no pun intended) of rain. They're even calling for flooding. Mabey if the sky cooperates we may still get a chance to see it.

    Just looked at the full moon but it was a 10 second glimpse through a hole in the clouds so the overall odds aren't great....I will be up for it just in case.
