    The ones I ordered have the spikes, are 15" tall, insulated and have an extra 5" gaiter beyond the 15" top. I'm going to try them with trail runners first, then work my way up into heavier boots as needed. I had to order the XXL. I'm figuring those boots will work well with my down booties in camp also.
    If the XXL size is big enough,I may not need snowshoes!
