Miniature Pinscher as a foot warmer.

I found a few old threads, but am interested in stories about a small dog in the hammock. My Min-Pin backpacks with me, and leaving her home is not an option. In a tent she sleeps between my ankles, and my feet are always nice and toasty.
I'm hoping this will still work in the hammock, and I will use a foot pad to protect the hammock, and keep her warm. I plan to use my HH Exped for trips with the dog, as the material is heavier, and I have less money tied up in that.
She would not sleep on the ground, and due to her small size, I need to know where she is.

I'm also wondering how my Mini Aussie will react to my hammock. He's really good in a tent, just curls up in a corner or under my cot. Not sure what he'll think about the hammock & tarp set-up. I doubt that he'll get in the hammock with me to sleep, as he's not much a cuddler. As a shepherd breed, he's always "on duty." I hope he's happy on his camp bed on the ground under the hammock. We'll see how it goes in when we hit the woods in the spring.

i have been mulling this topic over as i have a puggle that will do the same i decided that a ccf pad under me on the foot end should protect the hammock enough.

I bet the foot box would be perfect, but not sure if I want her in my new BB. I'll know more after I take the dog on a overnight.
