Smile Merry White Christmas in Tupelo, MS!

WhooHooooo! Got up to see if Santa made it, and it is snowing! Enough to put a layer on the ground, still coming down. This is the first Christmas snow I can remember in the deep south, when I was here any way. Which accounts for most of my life of ~ 62 years. I might have forgot one though.

Any one remember southern White Christmas out side of the mountains?

Merry Christmas Hammock Forum Friends every where! ( Hope the kids make it from New Hampshire today without travel problems!

It finally STOPPED snowing here in Utah. From last Friday to about Tuesday, we had over 10 inches here in Sandy, and Alta ski resort got 84 inches !!!!!!!

Oh Yeah, I remember those Utah winters! I moved to Layton just prior to Christmas 85. It started snowing while I was trying to unload my belongings into my apartment. By the next day there was a foot or so. The next two years- until I moved- were glorious ones for a new skier to develop his skills at Alta, Snowbird, Snow Basin and all of the multitude of other resorts! Deep, deep powder snow! I loved it!

Far as I'm concerned, snow is only attractive on post cards and puzzles. Survived through one South Dakota winter and 3 years in Colorado and now, here in Norther California, it may get cold, but there's no snow.

I moved here from Florida 24 years ago. Thought I'd died & gone to ski heaven. 8 ski areas within a one hour drive. Sweet. I Don't downhill ski anymore though. Bum knee, plus I need to save the money for hammock & rafting gear. Snow shoes are my winter fun now.....cheaper & a more peaceful way to enjoy the outdoors.

Same here. I also like cross country skiing. But I have not done any skiing in several years. If I had snow available again I would probably mostly snow shoe or maybe cross country ski.

Meery Christmas to all! No white Christmas here again in western Jersey this year, but a doozy of a snowstorm may be heading our way for Sunday night. Time to try out and test some new gear!!!
