Firewood for the gathering at Buck Lake

Here is a little something to help us all out.

Made contact with a firewood guy who lives within traveling distance of Buck Lake. He has a trailer which holds a cord of split firewood. He said he will deliver it full to the campsite at noon or close to it on the 21st.

This wood is not cut and split for fireplace use, but rather is wood that too small to split and knotty pieces. Great for campfires though. What we dont burn up, we can leave for the next users of the site.

So, I think the firewood will be good to go at this point.

As a New Orleans native, Chicken and Sausage Gumbo is a staple in our home. If someone has a big enough pot, I can make enough Gumbo to feed an army.

The wood delivery is a great score there Sunny Trike!!! Smooth Move!

I'm gonna bring some alcohol stoves to play with. A Super Cat, A Caldera Cone, A Mule, A Super Stove. And if anybody wants me to I can bring a side cut can opener I just got in my stocking to make some Heineken Pots...that is if anyone wants to bring the cans, or drink some to supply cans!
I can't get those cans here in this part of TN.

Ok, bring the fixins, I will bring turkey cooker pot and burner with propane.

I just added it to my list. Confirm if thats good enough. I have made many batches of Datil Pepper Sauce in it, so its well cured for hot and spicy. Will bring a couple quarts of that as well. If your into tasty hot sauce, this will hit the spot I assure you. Been old minorcan family recipe for over 100+ yrs.

    Good call ldcakes
Making up Heineken Pots is kinda cool I think. Perfect size if you ask me. I have (3) already. I'll bring a second side-can cutter too if there's a need.

Love this idea, great for people like myself who suck at DIY's of this nature. Learn much better in person and as I go. If there's an Ohio hang I definitely hope this is an activity.

Thanks Sunny's_Trike for bringing the pot and propane! It will work great.

Gumbo it is! I'll bring all the fixins. For everyone else it's BYOB (bring your own bowl).

Yes bring yours too and we can compare. This is the first one I've used and will be learning how to use it and figured this would be a good playground!
