if i can get myself in gear & start doing some of the stuff that i have in mind, i hope to make one w/ a collar on it.

the collar would simply be drawn shut when it is being used as a quilt.

The No Sniveller with 3 inch baffles is call a Rocky Mountain Sniveller.... It was field tested by francis Tapon on his successful, first ever, CDT YOYO this year, 2007.... BTW, Francis did this hike SUL, under 5 pound base with 26 oz of that base being this JRB quilt and the JRB Hood.
You can find the details of the JRB Rocky Mountain Sniveller Here... http://www.jacksrbetter.com/index_files/RMS.htm
Let us know how yours turns out....There are a lot of these under christmas trees this year.

Thanks, Pan.
Of course what I am making is not a "Rocky Mountain Sniveller" or a "No Sniveller". It is a Hammock Underquilt / Cold Weather Poncho for my own use. Semanitcs, I guess, but I mean to take nothing away from your fine products. After all I do own a JRB Nest.

I wanted to move this idea to it's own thread since I was getting off topic of this thread. So I wrote up my tutorial for making a hammock quilt with a head hole like the Sniveller line. It's here.
