    Gees that is cheap.
    Where are they coming from.
I might pick up an xP bag for that price.

That said I think the golite ultra 20 is the best bang for $200. I have taken mine down to 14dF. It compresses to the size of a football and weighs 21 oz for the long.

    FYI,

The bags are from Coleman Outdoors. They made some higher end bags but I guess they didn't sale well so they have them on their sale / clearance page. I guess the $52.00 price was short time extra sale because they are up to $69.00 this morning. I did get one of the XP bags at $52.00 though. Good timing I guess. However $69.00 is still a good price for this bag in my opinion (retail was $165). The Down bag now listed for $93 (original retail was $210)

Thanks for everyones input and I will let you know what I think of the XP bag when it comes in.

I'm not going to say I'm any kind of expert (in anything!) but I've made multiple quilts of climashield and down and those numbers (if true) surprise me...
Anything I've made that has 20*F rating, weight was close but compressability wasn't close at all!!
lighter weight climashield items (40*F) and above are comparable for weight and compressability...the colder stuff...not so much.
so, I would have to wonder about how accurate the numbers are. We all know that manufacturers NEVER exaggerate!!
    IMHO....YRMV

after seeing the manufacturer, you might not have much of a diffference. Coleman doesn't manufacture for weight/bulk savings and as such, there might not be much of a difference. I was comparing Climashield to high quality 800+ fp down. The differences between the 2 are reduced the lower the quality of down. good deal $$ either way!

    AC,
I was wondering about the numbers as well. I will post back when I get the bag. I think they are closer because we are comparing 600 FP down to Climashield XP instead of the better 800+ FP Down. Like you said, I think it was a good deal and one I found hard to pass up.

    Update on Climashield Bag

I got the Climashield XP bag in and it matches up pretty close with the specs on Coleman's website. The weight comes in at 2lbs 10oz (including compression sack) The dimensions of the bag in the compression sack are 9" x 14".

All-In-All I am pleased with the purchase. This is going to save me a lot of space and at least a pound of weight in my pack.
