Smile CatTarp with additions and new photos

Check out the new photos and guy line pockets. Mule

There is a lot of work to a tarp! I noticed once I got it up that it has some places that pucker a bit on the Cat Cuts. I honestly don't know how I could have done it better except for using a very thin hem instead of a 3/4 inch hem. Anyway, here it is for your viewing pleasure and suggestions. Mule

Oh, it weighs 28 ounces and has a 12 foot ridge line and is 9.5 feet wide at the cat cuts and the center staking corners are another 2 1/4 feet on each side making it about 12 feet wide at it's widest place. Mule

Wow. That's a heck of the tarp. I like the addition of the material in the middle. It doesn't look like silnylon from the pics. What's it made of?

It is made from $1.00 per yard coated polyester from WalMart. Mule

If I ever make another it will be from sil, but honeslty, I can't buy the silnylon for less than a 14 foot ridge line CatTarp from Brian would cost me. I just don't like the light grey he uses but I am probably going to buy one real soon. Mule

That's an interestingly shaped tarp. Looks like an Eno tarp sorta kinda... Great job.

Maybe get some of the black sil that Ed Speer sells and make a BlackCat or even use the same design you used for the tarp you made.

That was the first thing I thought, too. It looks like a "much better coverage" edition of the ENO DryFly.

Cool lookin tarp! Maybe a dumb question (I'm chock full of em), but what are the extra points on the sides for? Looks really cool, I'm just wondering.
