That's a great deal, but I have a 20.5" torso so I need the Large. Can you comment on if the hip belt is padded or not? The site says that it is, and has pockets on it, but every review I see says it is not, and does not have pockets.

That's a great deal...I'd really like the old-style Ultra, though. The new 40F quilt is 20 oz...the old Ultra is 20F at the same weight. No idea why they changed designs that drastically, but that's why I didn't buy their quilt at the warehouse sale.

The Ultra is a quilt...they have a few models of it.

The hip belt on the Jam2 has pockets on each side, and has the same kind of padding as on the shoulder straps. It doesn't feel quite as dense as the shoulder, but it's there.
