What he saidI don't think for a second that Brandon would put the WB name on it if the quality wasn't first rate.

I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !
bmj is available in spinnUL - for my money, spinnUL outperforms sil.

DOWNTOWN BROWN!!!!
I bought a import BMJ right after Brandon announced the trail run from China. I just could not resist the price. I am not disappointed in any way. I can not find any fault with it. I am pleased and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

don't be afraid by spinn for any reason. it outperforms sil in all aspects except for packed size...
care to explain me the no-stretch factor ? I usually wake up with no sag that would be a problem with my el-cheapo-sil-tarp
And pack size is important, but not as much as weight
I'm fairly new to the tarp thing so I'm hoping someone with more experience will chime in here...
The pack size is not that much bigger in my opinion. Maybe someone that has the bmj in both materials can post a photo of each in the stuff sack. I can only compare my MacCat deluxe in Sil to my Spinn bmj. The weight savings also comes from not needing tensioners on the guidelines, not just the few ounces saved in tarp weight.
I would not say that the sag is a problem as much as a nuisance. Many people use shock cord or tubing for line tensioners on there guide lines to help with sil stretching. Tarp design can also affect the amount of stretch you see. I've found tubing tensioners keep my sil tarp quieter in the wind and when it's damp or wet keeps the tarp tighter so that it does not sag and contact my hammock or collect water. Adjusting your guide lines as needed on a well pitched tarp might make the tensioners unneeded but I like the convenience.
I just received the spinn bmj so I have no experience with it but I'm looking forward to trying it after seeing a couple spinn tarps. I just made a full length ridge-line and guidelines from 1.75 zing it and if the weather is mild I might try the bmj instead of the Superfly on my next outing.
I hope this helps.
