Any hangers in or near CT?

I am relatively new to the hanging world, and just really starting to get my setup figured out. Was wondering if there are any hangers in my general area that would like to meet up for a trip. I live in Bristol, CT which is Northern/central portion of the state.

Planning to take a trip somewhere the weekend of 1/22-23. Havn't really though of a location as of yet(anywhere within a 3 hour drive or so is fine by me). If anyone is interested, let me know. Would love to see some other's setups.

I am in Auburn MA. That weekend doesn't work but I will be campng in Feb.

I'm in western MA and would be interested in meeting up sometime to get a group together. Greylock's always a good time. Check out the NJ hang thread that's coming up at the end of January. I'll be heading down to that and last I checked there's somewhere around 50 people attending it so it'll be a great opportunity to put some faces to the names on here, and also a great opportunity to check out what everybody else uses for gear.

Sadly I can't make the NJ hang due to work. My next trip after 1/21-23 would be 3/4-6. I do alot of day hikes, but can usually only fit one actual trip in a month due to work schedule.

Would be interested in Greylock, I havn't had the chance to go there yet.

I'm planning on the Bellows pipe shelter on Greylock this coming weekend if anyone is interested.

Might be able to make something later in the month on Greylock also. I'll watch this thread for updates.

I'm in Brewster, might be able to get away for an overnight on the Saturday night, have to kind of play it by ear. Greylock is kind of a haul from me here in Brewster NY but it might work.

In Milford, about 30-35 minutes south of you. That weekend is a no go as its Wifey's Birthday weekend . As nice as sleeping outside is, dealing with a mad wife kinda offset's it :-) Might be up for some time in March though. I Usually do a freezing hike with a buddy and if thats a no go, I would be in. Location matters none to me, just being outside is good enough.

I think I'll be doing an overnight or 2 the week of Jan 10th, sometime mid-week (gotta work til 7pm Fri and Sat) probably head up to Greylock or somewhere on the AT. PM me if anyone's interested.

Hi OH,

Lupine and I hiked up Greylock yesterday via the Money Brook Trail to Hopper Trail, no snow on trail until Sperry Road Campground and maybe a 8" - 10". Nothing on top by the monument. It was wet and sloppy but was freezing on the way down.

M.B. thanks for the report...hopefully the temps this week will freeze everything up over there...looks like I won't be making it out next week anyways, so at this point hoping for the week after
