How goes it from North B.C.!!!

Been creeping around on here for a while...unbelievable wealth of information. Would like to say thank you to all the members for the great advice on this site!

I am now a proud owner of a Warbonnet DL 1.0 in coyote brown, a charcoal gray superfly, and a big spool of dyneema, got myself some figure 9's and knotbones on order, will hang things up Opie's single-line style.

Going to give things a try with my montbell bag and thermarest prolite...its been terribly cold up here and it won't quit snowing, was still out in the tent mid November, but its been a deep freeze ever since...got a couple of 30 year old spuce in the back yard 15 ft apart, and I just can't wait to try hangin'!

Want to say thanks to Brandon at WB for all the help with the hammock purchase, and to Shug for his great line of videos! (Already made my first beer can alcohol stove and have been making coffee out on the back sidewalk every mornin' for the last week...my family is starting to wonder!)

    Cheers and Happy New Years!

Welcome, rather new here personally, but have been a fan of Shug's for a good while.

Welcome to the madness! My family quit wondering about me long ago. They are absolutely convinced that I have lost my mind when it comes to hammocks and hammock related gear.

    Thanks for the welcome all!

Hey Bradley, I am up in the Peace Region......checked out the weather network and it looks like we may finally get the chinook we have been waiting for since Christmas day...looks like you folks in the Kootenays may be on the up trend as well. May at least get a nice afternoon nap in the hammock this weekend, not so sure my 0 degree celcius bag will keep me alive overnight, no matter what I wear. Talked to some friends from Vancouver, told me Mt. Washington has something like 15ft of snowbase! Oh well, nothing a touque and Timmies can't cure, eh?

    lol

Copy That . . . they are diggin' tunnels every where to get around.

Seems to me In Northern Alberta Tongue that would be
    ". . . a block heater and a Timmies"
    Least ways back in '70's

I know the Peace Country is nearly as big as Texas
but I know a Farrier up there, Patrick Ards,
If you see him, shake his hand and say hi from me . . .
He'll smile back and treat you to one of them Timmies.

Oh and a big ol' welcome to the family here, to you.

    Hang in there, Eh!
