hey we just did a hang in WA and it went great. dont know if I can make this one but will try.
Lets set a date and a place!
There's tons of great trials on Hood as well as lakes and streams the waters not to warm as far as swimming go but great trout fishing up there
How about Eagle Creek in Estacada? I haven't been there so I don't know much about it but I've heard it's a really cool place to go. Anybody have more info on this place? Opal Creek is another really beautiful place to camp. You hike in a few miles and set up camp wherever.
Google Eagle Creek for more info.

Then there's Three Creeks Lake out near Sisters, it's at around 7k feet elevation and opens in June I believe. There's a lake above this lake, not sure of the name but it's beautiful and it's a really short hike. Google it to find more info.
uncle buck from olympia wa. i am up for it just say when. good to go untill i leave for the AT
I hiked through eagle creek last summer very nice old growth trees so you'd need long tree straps but the forest is amazing I'm pretty close to it so I could do some scouting if we choose that location. I would be able to at least until mid feb cause my GF and I just had a baby.
That would be great! Congrats on your baby!
Hey, I vote for Asland, because . . . ummm . . . that's where I live
Depending on when, I'd be up for just about anywhere.

I'm here in Salem. Moved here from NorCal last year, Humboldt County - closer to Canada to Mexico. *Real* NorCal. I've been backpacking in Oregon a few times (and a lot in California), both in the Sisters wilderness area. I love it there, absolutely beautiful. Once I was there with the scouts, we hung 5 hammocks from 2 trees. That's right, it was epic. Until one broke... at least that guy was below me
I've been itchin to get out backpacking again, in the meantime I'll be getting my DIY on! Tarp, new hammock, etc.
Looking forward to the Oregon Hang! Go Beavers!
