I've got some initiative. My brother, who lives in Portland, was telling me about an opportunity to see around 500 bald eagles.

Anybody see this before? This area is close to where we put in for the Upper Klamath white water rafting.

I'm thinking that would be a great place to hang. We'll need to act quickly before the birds go back to Canada and Alaska.

Site says the refuge is closed to public entry. How big is bald eagle poop anyway?

Yes, the refuge is closed to the public, but I understand that there are observation places near by. This is what we need know, and if there are any trees there.

Also, I believe a lot of the roads up there by Crater Lake are closed from November through April--worth looking into. Maybe there's a ranger's station around there someone could call and quiz?

This last hang just whet the thirst for many hangs this year. I hope I don't miss and opportunity as I will be sending the HH off soon for the mod3.

we need to get a spot nailed down to let people to start planning.
some where near the WA border would be great. The hang we had in central WA a few weeks back was great with a good turn out and a pot luck. If the area is right I am sure that most of us will come.
We can have a mass hang!

My fiance and I are located near Silverlion and Wake.Joe and we're interested in future hangs. Don't let the thread die! Also, I'll update my member info soon.
