Made a trip out to the AT Woody Gap in North Ga, and did an overnight hang with family on Dec 29 – 30.
Temps made it down to the 20s at night

It was great to get all the guys out there for a walk in the woods, and to hang out at night.

We made it to Miller Gap or Henry Gap, and then turned around to camp just west of Preachers Rock. It is a great spot to camp with an awesome view.

DIY 11.7 Synthetic full Under Quilt: A+
So warm I had to remove all layers
WBBB (2nd time out): A

DIY Lantern: A
Great 4 hour burn, and good light. (http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ight=Baby+Food)

Khumbu AERGON Trek Poles: A
We trekked out down icy trails, and I relied a lot on these poles. Worked great.

Finley Dog – B
We took Finley, our dog for the first time, and over all he did great. He is a 40 lbs golden retriever mix. We threw him in one of the hammocks with my son. No problems until about 5:30 when he fell out of the hammock (Hennessy bottom entry). I would take him again.

DIY TLUD Stove – TBD – Didn’t get to use it on the trail http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...0&postcount=16

MMG IX UC: D – My Son tried it with a ¾ 3 season under quilt and froze. I just cannot make this thing work.
