hey everyone Ryan here new to the forums been hammock camping sinec i was in boyscouts and just enjoy it more then tent camping also wondering if there is anybody in the east texas area that knows good places to hike and camp ill be moving over there from dallas area.

The forums members recently held a group hang in Fairfield State Park which I attended. It was a wonderful place to camp and hike for a short excursion. My son is in school at College Station and goes to a big lake a bit north of there at Lake Livingston - there is a state park on the east shore and Sam Houston Nat. Forest on the west shore.
