yea, i could go for 20 yards if it is at 50 cents a linear yard. griz brings up a good point, i would like to make sure it is the right stuff first.

Once we confirm it's quality I would buy 100 yards at that price, even if it was not completely water proof. Mule
Predictions are risky, especially when it comes to the future.

Ok, so my fabric terminology isn't quite up to snuff, sorry. The price is per linear yard. I'll e-mail Magna fabrics now and see for sure about price and request a swatch. If I don't hear from them by the end of next week, I'll call them.

Ok, folks, I've decided to abandon the idea of trying to get this group order thing together. If someone else wants to handle it, then go for it. I've really got too much on my plate as it is, that added with the purported unreliability of Magna Fabrics makes it seem like less of a good idea to me. Sorry to mess this up so fast. If anyone wants to be mad at me, please go ahead and get it off your chest.

i wouldn't mind getting some sil and 1.1 in similar colors too, maybe you could see what else they've got. they do have dig camo as well, but it doesn't say how heavy it is.

I'd be willing to take on organizing this buy if we knew we were ordering a specific product, but I'm not sure how well Magna would operate in that regard.

What might work is getting organized here first, and then calling Magna saying that I'd like to order several hundred yards of 100% ripstop nylon, get a swatch and quote from them, and then place a specific order. That would mean getting a roll call here from everyone who'd definitely want some ripstop for $1 or less and their approximate yardage. With that info in hand I could work through the ordering process, get a quote, get everyone's money, place the order, get the fabric, split it and send it out. Everyone would have to be johnny-on-the-spot with their money, which would mean PayPal would be pretty necessary.
