Has anyone made this, or do you have any thoughts on it?
I am talking about an extension, to be attached somehow, to a 3/4 underquilt, to make it full length. This would be left at home when warmer, and brought along when cooler.

At JRB they have this

Have not used on so cant say much about it. Although from my understanding of the quilt I don't think it boost the temp rating of the quilt but only gives you the option between a full length and 3/4 UQ all with in the same season. Maybe other can chime in that have pratical experience with this quilt.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.
Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
The JRB is the only extension I know of. While it would work perfectly with their 3/4 length quilt I'm guessing you could make it work with another brand. IMO a full length is the only way to go in cold weather, fussing with pads is no fun any time of the year especially in the cold.
Nice set up Shug!! Was thinking the same (velcro).

That's what I was thinking, Shug. Except that being short I would only need to make myself I tiny extension to my 3/4 and I'd be there. Velcro.
Thanks
I made one out of 2-layer IX for my feet. Didn't seem to help that much. My plan was to use bra hooks to attach it to my UQ.
Pay shipping and it's yours.
Shug has the best idea! I guess necessity is the mother of invention...
