A friend and fellow hanger by the name of Randy (goes by Omer though) will be coming in from Norman, OK. He's bringing a kayak. I think I'll try paddling the river this trip. Will probably bring my hammock stand as we might be short on trees

If the camp host is there, I'll talk to him about spreading out past the campgrounds if needed. If its the same host as last year, I don't think there will be an issue. If we have a good ideal how many is coming, I'll save all the trees I can Thursday. There is plenty of places to hang...
Hey SmokeHouse robjae is +4
I am +2 but my cohort sleeps in the van with the dog.
I have one of these and can tote 8 boats under 12 ft. If over 12
I"ll have to put the extension tongue on so if the majority are over 12 let me know before i leave.
Debating on boats- I have two whitewater and an Old Town barge. I'm thinking of renting a crossover for this trip from my local kayak shop. Any thoughts from experienced Buffalo floaters? My WW boat of choice is Wavesport Fuse and is remarkably good on flat water as well but not miles and miles of it. If the Buffalo moves on it's own I'll be golden; otherwise I'll need a flat water boat. Thoughts???? Oh, and FWIW we must leave early Sunday to travel back to Buckeye country so no paddling for us that day.
The gene pool needs a life guard.
Dennis and I will want to float one day. We will not be bringing a boat, as we will be on our way back from Texas. We will need information on renting boats.
Our wives will be staying in 5th wheel RVs while we are at the hang. The other kind of Camping. Does anyone have any suggestions for places to park the RV's near Kyles Landing that would have some stuff for them to do. We were at Table Rock State Park near Branson last fall and may go there if we don,t find something better. It will need electrical power to keep them with the TV etc.
I'm probably in, but I won't know until closer to the actual date. I'll see if I can round up a stand so I can free up trees for others.
WB, I called LostValley and they said for RV's 'CenterPoint Horse Camp' 870-420-3222 is the only place in the area for RV hookups.
Also, a bit of news for the area. Due to the drought we had over the Summer, the river is still to low to float from Ponca to Kyles. Hope for some rain... I'll check levels from Kyles or lower to float.
If the water level gets better for Ponca, here are some places to rent canoes:
http://lostvalleycanoe.com/ (Ponca to Kyles Float)
and Buffalo River Canoes. (Kyles and below) Both are $45. a day
