What an excellent group of people, more friendly and gracious in person than even on the forum, and thats difficult to achieve, only downside as some others may attest, perhaps a wee to many beans consumed, but I'd drive back now for a bowl. Seldom can u plan something and it be as good as you want, Smokehouse, you exceeded what could have been expected, a most gracious thank you for setting something up to bring many strangers together and then leave having new friends. What a giving, sharing, unselfish group. Sorry OldGringo, didn't mean to start preaching :}, again, Thanks Smokehouse for putting together

As expected, I had a WONDERFUL time. Great weather, scenery, canoeing, hiking, hanging, food, and especially many great friends (old and new!!!).

Thanks to SmokeHouse for putting this on......and also to sweet southern heat (who I suspect had significant input into the event's success).

Thanks also to SmokeBait who made sure that many of us left with more gear than we arrived with.

Great bunch of guys and gals. Looking forward to doing it again soon.

Now I gotta ask, you arranged such beautiful weather for the weekend (canoeing in a short sleeve shirt); how come I had to wake up to 2" of snow this morning

The road goes ever on and on Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can, Pursuing it with weary feet, Until it joins some larger way, Where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say.

I want to add my sincere thanks to Smokehouse and everyone who had any part of putting together a terrific hang. I don't think that I can add any new praises but sure will confirm that it was a great time. I just registered a few days ago, attended a hang this weekend, and made a bunch of new friends. This was one of the friendliest groups of people i have had the pleasure of meeting. What a great week!!! I look forward to seeing you again.

Sounds like a great time was had by all. Wish that I could have been there. When I retire in a couple of months (military), I'm gonna do ALOT of hanging!

Anyone wanting to look at the photos taken can go to www.flickr.com/photos/efraser2011 to view them. Thanks to Smokehouse for organizing the hang in such a wonderful place.
You got me and Ben confused in your labeling. All of the "Tim" in your hike should be "Ben". Still nice pictures, I really need to get me a waterproof camera.
